Summer gold with the new Minelab Gold Monster 2000

The locals are hard at it enjoying the fruits of their labours under the hot summer sun, going over well worked areas with their Minelab Gold Monster 2000's. It's astounding to hear the success stories of customers paying for their machines in only a few sessions thanks to the record high gold prices and the amazing ability of this little detector to sniff out missed gold in thrashed mineralised locations.

This type of gold is going to be available for a long time to come thanks to the tiny 5 inch coil size and our summer storms constantly replenishing the shallow mineralised clay grounds where the Monster does so well.

The Gold Monster 2000 is a new approach around an older technology. VLF detectors are what started the first electronic gold rushes back in the late 70's and 80's. The frequency (kHz) these detectors operate at determines the depth and sensitivity of the detector with lower frequencies being better on larger deeper gold in mineralised soils and the higher frequencies being better on the smaller pieces, but are more prone to mineralisation.

Minelab built its name and reputation on VLF detectors that could handle bad ground back in the 80's and they continued on from there with other advanced technologies like PI and ZVT. The big bug bear for VLF was ground signals especially on the high frequency VLF machines, to counter this they originally used DD coil designs to handle the bad ground but mineralisation was always an issue.

Fast forward to present day and we FINALLY have a high kHz MULTI frequency style VLF that can handle bad ground like a PI but can still easily maintain sensitivity to the tiniest of tiny flakes even in the worst of ground. This is what the new Minelab Gold Monster 2000 is all about and the results speak for themselves.
